The DV8 Offroad TCJL-01 Jeep Wrangler JL Tailgate Mounted Tire Carrier replaces the weakest link on the OEM spare tire mounting system. Unlike Jeeps of the past, the JL features a cast steel internal tailgate structure. This means that it is much stronger and more capable of handling heavier loads. The DV8 TCJL-01 tire carrier replaces the factory bracket that connects the spare to the tailgate itself. It also makes the mounting system adjustable to accommodate up to a 35-inch tire and wheel combo.
