Our Wrangler JL Tire Carrier features a heavy-duty design for securely mounting your Jeep’s spare tire. The carrier transfers the weight of your tire from the tailgate door to the carrier, so you don’t have to worry about added stress on the hinges when transporting a larger tire. It features cam nut adjustment, so you can configure the carrier for a precise fitment. Included with the carrier is an antenna/whip flag mount. The tire carrier is fully bolt-on for a quick and easy install process, and also retains the factory third brake light. The carrier is made from durable steel, and it is finished in a resilient micro-texture black powder coat that accents your rig’s sleek exterior. Our Jeep Wrangler Tire Carrier is designed to support the weight of your spare and tailgate, instead of the tailgate holding your tire, so you don’t cause any unnecessary wear and tear on your Jeep when mounting an off-road tire.
* Please Note: The tire carrier can fit up to a 20-inch wheel and a 38” x 13.5” tire. We recommend using the carrier with wheels that have a 4+ inch backspacing, as it is not compatible with -44 offset wheels. The carrier is not compatible with wheels wider than 9.5-inches. It can be used with factory wheels with 2" or larger wheel spacers. ** Please Note: Xtreme Recon and Rubicon X models will require DV8’s Camera Extension Bracket to retain the use of the factory rear camera. *** Please Note: The carrier is not compatible with models that feature the Mopar On-Board Air Compressor option.
