When using 42" & 43" tires along with long travel suspension systems on your Jeep JL/JLU, the limitation in "up" travel in your suspension is the underside of the fender. We have solved this by raising the uppermost section of the fender by several inches, effectively increasing your suspension travel substantially. The Motobilt replacement rear highline fender flares for the Jeep JL/JLU are manufactured from heavy duty steel plate. They are 3D CAD designed using modern 3D scanning technology to ensure the perfect fit on your 4 door Jeep JL/JLU. The fender flares will work on all versions of the 4 door Jeep JL/JLU including the Sport, Rubicon, Sahara and more. The Motobilt replacement Hatchet high line rear fender flares feature a raised section to provide even more clearance for larger extra diameter tires up to 43” diameter. The fender flares ship bare steel to allow the installer to choose to color match their Jeep if desired. You will need to paint or powder coat them after install as scratching sometimes occurs during fitment. We recommend the High Clearance rear inner fenders part number MB1254 but the standard inner rears will work as well MB1098. Ships raw steel. Must be painted or powder coated to prevent rust.
