180 TECHNOLOGY® BY AWE As exhaust gases exit the Coyote 5.0L engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology®–equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these exhaust gases bounce off the chamber walls. By controlling the port size and chamber location, we dictate when those reflected waves rejoin the main flow—creating a 180-degree, out-of-phase wave that cancels problematic frequencies.
