- Purchase your Factor 55 KERR based on your vehicle’s gross vehicular weight rating (GVWR). A properly sized rope for typical SUVs and trucks is one that has a 4:1 to 6:1 minimum breaking strength to GVWR ratio. For larger vehicles (Unimogs, EarthRoamers, Earth Cruisers, heavier military trucks, etc.), a 2:1 to 4:1 ratio may be acceptable. If you use a smaller and lighter KERR, rope breakage might occur.
