Our MTO Series Wrangler JL Spare Tire Swing Gate was designed to support larger & heavier aftermarket wheels & tires. This add-on tire carrier is compatible with our MTO Series Steel Wrangler Rear Bumper . The swing gate opens with the tailgate, and transfers the extra tire/wheel weight off of the aluminum tailgate and redirects it to the bumper. A dual taper bearing and dual heim pivot provide smooth opening & closing of the carrier. The MTO Series Jeep spare tire carrier features an adjustable camera mount that enables you to relocate and align the factory rear camera. The third brake light is also accommodated in the design of the carrier, and retains full functionality. Additionally, the carrier features a mounting point for use with a Hi-Lift style jack or similar accessories. Installation is a bolt-on process, with no drilling required.
* Fitment Note: The carrier can fit up to a 20-inch wheel and a 38”x13.5” tire. We recommend use with wheels of 4+ inch backspacing, as this is not compatible with -44 offset wheels. This is not compatible with wheels wider than 9.5-inches. Will work with factory wheels with 2" or larger wheel spacer.
