DV8’s 6th Gen Bronco Tire Carrier assumes the weight of the spare tire and reinforces the tailgate. This prevents unnecessary wear on the hinges and vehicle frame. With its heavy-duty steel design, the carrier is capable of holding the spare and door in place even when your Bronco is jostled during hard-core off-road ventures. Our tire carrier doesn’t hinder your ability to easily load and access your gear in the rear cargo space by retaining the factory tailgate’s capacity to open-up greater than 150°. Included with the carrier is an antenna/whip flag mount and self-lubricating brass bushings. A third brake light extension is also included, so you can maintain all of the OEM features. The carrier is finished in a resilient micro-texture black powder coat that accents your rig’s exterior styling. It is fully bolt-on for a straigh tforward install process, and it is compatible with all DV8 rear bumpers, as well as our Rear License Plate Relocation Bracket .
