Which length is right for you? You ideally want a coax cable length that runs the distance from your radio to the antenna without leaving any excess cabling. Coiling or overlapping coax cable will dramatically affect radio performance. If you have more cable than you need, run the excess cable in straight lines without coiling or overlapping. The 15' length is the most popular cable we offer and used for most UTV applications. However, Rugged offers both a 13' and 17' option.

NOTE:
The center conductor inside the NMO antenna stud is not solid metal and can be damaged if overtightened. As shown in the photo above, when installing the NMO nut, we recommend holding the wrench vertically to reduce torque and overtightening.
